Australia's Tunarama Festival

The Aussie tuna toss is part of Tunarama, an event that happens every year at Port Lincoln, South Australia. It involves people throwing a rubber fish that weighs ten kilograms as far as they can. Sean Carlin, a Common Wealth Gold Medalist, holds the current men's world record for throwing a tuna 37.23m in 1989. Brooke Krueger holds the women's record of 21.25m. That's pretty cool, right? There are also a lot of other tuna-related events and competitions at the Tunarama festival.
There are things like the tuna catch, the tuna race, and the tuna weigh-in. Since 1962, the event has been popular and very competitive.
