The World Beard and Mustache Championship is a global event that honors some of the best facial hair in the world. There are 18 categories that people can participate in, from the natural full beard and mustache to freestyle designs. People from all over the world get together to show off their amazing facial hair and compete for the titles of "World's Best Beard" and "World's Best Mustache." There is some disagreement on the history of the World Beard and Mustache Championship.
Some others say it started in Italy in the 1970s. On the other hand, some people say it began in a small German community in the 1990s. No matter what, these events are being organized in many places throughout the world.
