World Stone Skimming Championship in Scotland

As a kid, did you like going to your local lake or river and trying to skim stones? You might have spent a long time looking for the right stone to toss or hours trying to beat your high score, which was probably only two or three. The point is that skimming stones is a lot of fun. But did you realize that there is now real rivalry for skimming stones?
Every year in Scotland, the World Stone Skimming Championship takes place. It started out as a joke between a few friends, like some of the other contests we've talked about, but it blossomed into a more planned event.
