The Bog Snorkeling Championship in the UK

Every year, the World Bog Snorkelling Championships take place in Waen Rhydd Peat Bog, which is close to Llanwrtyd Wells, Wales. Competitors use snorkeling gear and run through a 60-meter, waist-deep peat bog during the event. The fastest snorkel to reach the finish line wins. The event started in 1985 and has risen in popularity since then, with people from all around the world competing. There is also a fancy dress part of the tournament.
Here, people who like elegance over speed can wear a costume while they walk through the murky waters. Over the years, fashion has included a pantomime horse, a lobster, a bee, and even Spiderman.
