Many towns in the UK and parts of the US hold Pancake Day Races every year on Shrove Tuesday, which is also known as Pancake Day. While racing a brief race, participants must flip a cooked pancake in a frying pan. During this time, you need to flip the pancake a set number of times. Or, depending on the rules of the race, each flip will earn the contestants points.
Usually, the person who finishes first wins. The Pancake Day Races are an interesting custom that goes back to 1445. Exeter, UK is where the World Pancake Racing Championships are held.
