The Old Library Inside the New One

This picture shows part of the outside of the old library that is now inside the new one. We didn't know where this library was, so we read the comments on the original post. There seems to be a lot of guessing about what the building is called. We couldn't find out what the building was called, but we did discover that more and more architects are building on top of historic buildings.
What a nice idea to use materials from historic buildings to merge the old with the new. We think this gives the buildings some character, and it's better for the environment. It's a win-win!
