Wow! When does this ever happen? Imagine that you're going down the beach and pick up a rock at random. When you look at it, you see that it has an almost flawless star-shaped crystal inside it. It looks like that's exactly what happened to this original poster at a beach in southern Wales, UK! That's pretty cool, right? We would surely bring this treasure back with us to cherish!
Some people who commented on the original post said this star shape is a "fossilized segment of a crinoid stem." We don't know what that means, but we do know that it still looks great!
