A Plaque On A Church In Virginia Dedicated to the Enslaved People Who Built It

This photo, like some of the other things on this list, should not be seen as strange, unusual, out of place, or one-of-a-kind. We think it should be normal practice instead. This is a picture of a plaque that hangs on the outside of a church in Alexandria, Virginia. It says sorry and thanks to the enslaved people who had to build the church. In more detail, the plaque says this:
"We honor the enslaved people whose skills and work were unfairly used to help build the old Presbyterian meeting house sanctuary, flounder house, and Elliot house with thanks and regret."
