Environmental Protection Laws Are Everything

Well, look at this. It's the direct result of the two countries' divergent policies about how to manage their woods. The trees in Germany on the left are standing (not so) tall, while the trees in the Czech Republic on the right are shaven and look a little bare and missing leaves. It's funny how simple it may be to cross the border while you're in Europe.

We don't sure what the Germans have been giving those trees, but they look healthy and green. Good for them. There could always be more trees in the world.
