Party on the India-Pakistan Border

Another interesting fact about the border between India and Pakistan is that it is the scene of a big party. Maybe not a party, though. The Wagah border ceremonial has been a daily military routine for the security forces of India and Pakistan since 1959. There have been a lot of arguments about what will happen to this event in the future, though, so this might not be the case. But what does it mean?

Every night, just before the sun sets and night takes over, the flags at the Wagah border are pulled down, and soldiers march through both sides of the border.
