Cats have more neurons in their brains than dogs do. These little balls of fluff and fangs have 300 million neurons, while dogs only have 160 million. This means that cats have a considerably bigger cerebral cortex, which controls things like problem-solving, short- and long-term memory, and rational cognition. Cats are also highly curious, which shows how smart and smart they are. Scientists do find it hard to examine cat intellect, though, because cats normally don't like to take part in experiments.
