#9 Ecuador


Ecuador is smaller than Arizona, but it has more different kinds of plants and animals than the United States, which is about eight times its size. Ecuador's land includes parts of the Andes-Amazon area, and the Galapagos Islands are even part of the country. Because of this, Ecuador has almost twice as many bird species as the United States and 6% of all the plants and animals in the planet.
