From Jim Carrey To The Grinch

A lot of people didn't like Jim Carrey's method acting in How the Grinch Stole Christmas, but he did a great job. They had to put prosthetics all over his face to modify the shape of it.

Richard Baker, the movie's head makeup artist, said that they first clean the skin so that the adhesive will stick. Then they put on the prosthetics and the green base layer. After that, they added yellows and purples to give the makeup more depth. Finally, they added the hairpieces to finish the look.
