From Arnold Schwarzenegger To The Terminator

The Terminator was ahead of its time when it came to special effects makeup. Making the character that was part human and half mechanical was quite hard. It appears like Schwarzenegger is getting surgery on his face in the pictures, not getting a prosthesis.

The team produced a skull helmet with the intricate metalwork that went on the right side of his face. He had to sit there for hours to get into the role. His stunt double also needed prosthetics to look more like Arnold and the Terminator.
