Someone's In Denial

If it seems like you're getting fired, and it sounds like you're getting fired, and you don't have to go to work anymore, then you're probably getting fired. Everyone should be able to see that, however this supervisor who is firing people doesn't appear to agree with us on what does and doesn't count as getting dismissed.

Why do managers usually try to terminate you without saying so? They must think we're all dumb or something. "Hey, we just wanted to let you know that you're not really working out, but don't worry, we're not firing you. We're just...kind of firing you. But not really."
