Stealing a car from a dealership is about as sensible as trying to steal a fish from the ocean. You might be able to get past the guards and not set off the alarms, but what then? Are you going to swim away with the automobile you stole and hope that the people who work at the dealership don't notice that one of their cars is missing? But this person didn't even get that far.

No, he definitely didn't. He just drove his automobile into the glass wall of the dealership, hoping for the best. It's clear that didn't work out for him.
