Someone's Going to Have to Take the Long Way Home

It's the worst thing in the world when a natural disaster destroys the only normal route that goes from your house to work and back (the one that doesn't go all the way across the country). That's what happened to the poor person who posted this photo. They had to come up with a unique way to get home from work that day. He must have done something amazing to find his way around.

We wonder what we would have done if we were him. Would we have been angry that our route home got seven times longer? Or would we find the whole affair kind of funny? After all, this doesn't happen every day.
