From Homeless to the Board of Directors

In 2017, Elmer Alvarez was living on the streets without a home. He found a $10,000 check while living on the streets, but instead of cashing it, he proceeded to find the owner, who was a successful real estate dealer. Roberta Hoskie, the real estate agent, was so moved that she provided him a place to live and an interview for a job. He was on the Board of Directors for Hoskie's Outreach Foundation within a year.
This one choice impacted the life of this man completely. Instead of cashing check, he gave it back to its owner. Now he can help other people find inexpensive accommodation.
