Mathematical Genius in the Making
School kids may have trouble remembering all the formulas they learn in class. That's when being able to think on your feet can help, like it did for this student, who plainly didn't remember what they needed to do to get the right solution to the arithmetic issue. They chose to take the question at face value and change it so that they may get some kind of answer in the end.
Even though they might not have been on the correct track, we have to give the kid credit for trying, even if they were entirely wrong.
