Mum's the Word

There were either one of two things that happened here. Either the student was feeling a little naughty when they wrote this answer on a school test, or they really thought that "free press" meant when your mom irons your pants for you. Not likely for this kid, the question wasn't about doing laundry around the house; it was about explaining the term that has come to mean unbiased journalism.
I hope that little kid understands what a free press is and how it helps make a democratic society. At least they'll look good in their pressed pants till then.
