Go, Pebbles!

The knowledge that pets are not going to be around for an endless period of time is the most sad feature of owning them. Unless, naturally, you intend to get a tortoise pet. Moreover, although dogs have an average life expectancy of ten to thirteen years, some of them opt to live for far longer periods of time against this range. Would it thus be feasible for everyone of us to offer Pebbles, the 22-year-old dog, a round of applause?

Though you might not be aware of it, 22 dog years is far over 100 human years. Nevertheless, Pebbles is just as remarkable when seen from a human standpoint. What a courageous man.
