Farewell To Rosie, The Great White Shark
Let’s scroll back to 1997 when a great white shark got trapped in a family’s fishing nets in South Australia. With no way of rescuing her safely, she was sadly but humanely killed. Wildlife Wonderland bought the shark, called her Rosie, and displayed her in a tank until 2012, when the business went into administration. All live animals were then surrendered to the RSPCA. But no one wanted Rosie, so she stayed behind.
The park became derelict, and Rosie’s tank was vandalized; then, in 2019, the Crystal World Exhibition Centre, Victoria, in Australia, rescued her. They now continue to crowdfund to restore Rosie to her former glory.
