Part Gazelle, Part Giraffe

Here are two side-by-side images of a gazelle standing on its hind legs. In this case, itโ€™s a Gerenuk, also known as a giraffe gazelle. Thereโ€™s something uncomfortable about the way itโ€™s standing while searching this bush for something to eat. A member of the antelope family, it resembles a praying mantis ready to strike. This particular animal is found in the Horn of Africa and parts of East Africa. Just look at its front legs, seemingly raised, as if it's ready for combat. It's safe to say that if we saw this scene, we'd give this gazelle a wide berth!
